I made a mistake.
If you're talking about the specific story and the Lisa crying, I have respect for her to say what happened is wrong and it does show that Ms. Lyden is human.

I accept the negative comment for being wrong.
Thanks

Gobo!
Dude -- I thought maybe you'd gone the way of Tim Russet and George Carlin.

Here's the deal. BM goes on at length how he's getting phone calls and mystery tips about the whole Lisa Lyden crying on TV thing. I see nothing show up in the forum -- and you folks are usually pretty chatty when it comes to defending or ripping apart the local anchors. Eric Singer and Matt Meiser have taken some hard shots in the past. I was just hoping for some thoughtful banter.

I didn't witness the newscast - I don't watch 5/30. It took some digging to even find mention of this story on another channel's website. Sure, the loss of a baby in such a senseless manner is tragic. I wasn't questioning that. I just wanted to hear what you (yes, even dear Gobo) had to say about the story's presentation.

Reporters are supposed to report the news, not be the news. Am I right or wrong?

Perhaps you should ask Tim Russert fans this question. As for Lisa, I have always admired her work.

Hey! What a coincidence, I thought the same of you, although, in your case, more of a Ted Kennedy kind of demise.

Look, ass crack, maybe you first admit you don't know how to articulate (look it up) what it is you're attempting to verbally vomit and come to terms with your stupidity. Oh and be man or woman enough, like Sorrento, and admit when you are WRONG. BTW you ASSumed wrong that I'm part of the media...just like the Lisa Lyden comment, ya dumb fuck.

You do make a good point, but come on Evil Dave, a baby was murdered by a drunk driver. Lyden is human too. Cut her some slack.

Oh Gobo -
.You are so easily toyed with. Did it not occur to you that I posed (meaning to to assert, state, or put forward, according to Dictionary.com)my query to the entire membership of this forum, and not to you directly?
.Your presumptions (behavior or attitude that is boldly arrogant or offensive; effrontery) about me are far off. I haven't said anything about this specific topic, except to clarify my intent. I haven't said anything specifically about Lisa Lyden, but let me state without hesitation that my past experiences with her have always been positive, and I'd wager others would back my assessment.
.I have to wonder, friend Gobo, where you received your english language credentials? Your past remarks are fraught with foul language owing to your lack of vocabulary. Perhaps the Fair Dallas will wash your mouth out and spare us all your boring drivel.

That is a completly different thing! And being a newsie (is that what you call em?) you should know that. You could also ask Dr. Sanja the same question when he did brain surgery on that kid in Iraq. He became the news, but these were extreme situations. A child being killed in a car crash, while being very ,very sad, is more of the norm then the exception. Just like the rise in home invasions and cop killings, this is not likely to decline until parents teach thier kids a little respect. And no, its not the schools fault!

Yes, I am easily toyed with when it comes to mental cripples such as yourself who make insenstive and stupid comments and aren't big enough to admit they were wrong. It absolutely drives me crazy.
Did I offend Igotta Nopersonalities' haughty sensibilities with my profanity? Too fucking bad. Please refrain from your attempts at sounding eloquent and intelligent. You really can't pull it off. Now, getting back to your original comment. Obviously you can't or don't want to see your boo hooing reference to "someone" reacting to a child that was killed was flippant, boorish and extremely insenstive. But, because you're a pompus, pretentious, elitist, toady know - it- fucking -all, you can't even admit that your original, despite what your intention was, comment was wrong.
BTW, I received my english language credentials from Fuck U.
