Mettro traffic that provides traffic reports to radio station...KILO,
will shut the doors on October 3rd. Our local traffic will now be delivered from Denver RECORDED ! What really Blows is Mercedes Lane the Chick from KILO will no longer be. Well traffic anyway. All I got to say is that she is so funny with Wendy Campbell in the afternoon on KILO it's a Damn shame. Shes Great with Ross and Mo but in the afternoon those two crack me up. Oh well I guess live and local does'nt mean much anymore with Radio [/b]

This is terrible! The people from Metro Traffic are awesome.
Mercedes is the bomb. She's totally cool.
This makes me sad for all of us. We all lose in the end.

Colorado Springs was the smallest market that Metro Traffic was broadcasting in. And with the economy, it probably didn't pay for itself.

Whats the one thing you do not do in radio??? Well, theres many okay..but you would never tell jocks that their jobs going going gone...I mean no heads up...you never know WHAT they may say[/b]

Especially some of the total hotheads I've worked with!
But being unprofessional is really only self-defeating.

It also shows the individual wasn't ready to handle the responsibility of being on-air.
It's more than playing their favorite song without all the rules.

You will always suprise and impress me with your understanding of local media.

What services do clear channel and citadel use for traffic?

We probably have seen each other and haven't realized it. You'll always be the number one star in my heart.

Clear channel uses their own Clear Channel traffic serivce..

Citadel ues a citadel employee with accesss to traffic scanners/cams

The traffic is very predictable. Let me guess; at 5PM I-25 is slow moving, Woodman & academy is bad, blah blah blah. They can use the same traffic reports from last month & no one will know. It always happen, I will be passing thru an intersection & they said there was an accident, must of been invisible 'cause I didn't see one. The reports were always late & not accurate.
