Why? liquor stores have the same rights as other businesses, we have a seperation of church and state for a reason. Having a law restricting sale of something for religious observances isnt fair anywhere in this country.

So then why is the mail not delivered on Sunday nor any other religous holiday? And government places also should stay open if Christmas falls on a Monday.
Why is it called a TV "set" when you only get one?

Are we sure it's for religious reasons? Meh, who gives a bang ?
Come Sunday July first. . . .liquor me up, dudes.

That was for dramatic purposes. I don't drink. Good girl. I sew all my own clothes too. Thongs are pretty simple.

Atrractive dallas.

but im sure its for religious reasons because all of the stories that i have seen aired have said thats the reason for the law. But government offices are a different story, i couldnt tell you about that, its the goverment, they do what they want and have no idea what theyre actually doing. Its the fact that there is a restriction on private business owners that doesnt allow them to sell something because of the moral crusaders. Its not fair fot the govt. to tell someone when they can and cant sell what they sell, regardless of what it is. They have the right just as much as any other business. How would you feel if they made it illeagal to sell anything but fish during lent? your bar-b-que would be ruined. its the same principal.

I take the point of the mom and pop liquor store who take Sunday off to regroup. I never thought of it as being a religious issue.

There are times when the state of Colorado is far behind the rest of the country. Depending on who is in charge, it falls further behind. Pushing this bill towards law is an opportunity to drag this State into the light (kicking and screaming, it would seem).

Make no doubt about it: this was the lesser of two evils. The grocery giants would give anything to sell you a fifth with your orange juice. By allowing Sunday sales, the mom & pop stores might get to hold off the Big Guys, but it won't be long before that changes, too.
